We have spent the past few weeks prepping the new book for publishing and we will be uploading the book later this week or next for full distribution. Over the past few weeks I’ve been working hard with my friend Judith Briles and her designer Nick Zelinger to get the book laid out and the final cover designed. We’ve finalized all the details and Nick is working hard to finish the internal layout as we’ve completed the back cover copy and design. The book is up on Amazon and you can pre-order the book now. I’m really excited to continue to speak about the book and to share this message. I have another talk tomorrow to the local Lions Club in Encinitas and I continue to network and find other audiences for this message.

Every time I have a conversation about the book and what I’m focused on I get really positive feedback, especially around the conversation of evolving Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. I spoke to the Escondido Sunrise Rotary club last Thursday morning and I continue to discuss the main concept in the book, that Maslow knew that the foundation of his hierarchy was purpose. I believe Maslow knew that survival is our greatest human instinct and our greatest purpose, and for a culture that is beyond survival we need to find our own individual purpose. In the end I don’t believe we need to find purpose for the sake of our purpose, but to use it to find our tribe, to find others that have shared common purpose.

As I begin to network in San Diego I continue to meet people that are motivated by purpose, and they don’t really know each other. I feel like they are all needles in a haystack and it’s my job to be a big magnet that pulls them out and connects them with each other. I’ve also realized that I don’t want to do this alone, so I continue to identify individuals who I might be able to partner with. In addition, there are organizations that have gathered individuals that gather at their locations but they don’t offer peer groups. I’m excited to partner with these organizations to offer peer groups as an added value service and let them participate in the revenue stream. We will see where this all lives.

Over the next few months, with the launch of the book, working with coaching clients and engaging my first peer groups, we will see how this new business evolves. I’m excited to wake up each day and see what the day has to offer.

To a life well lived!
