What’s In a Title?
My new book is about to be published. I have received all positive feedback except for one thing – the title of the book. I came up with the current title, The Age of Humanity, when traveling in Germany. I was meditating and reflecting on how we need to move past the Information age and into a new age, The Age of Humanity. At the time, I thought that this would be the title of my book. Now that the content is complete, many have expressed that this isn’t the main concept.
I began thinking of all the work that went into this book. At first, it was temping just to leave the title as is and move on. In the end, will the title really matter? I don’t think so, but it should line up with the thoughts in the book. Maybe, the main concept isn’t The Age of Humanity; maybe that is the title of my next book. So, what was the basis of this book from the start? What should the title be?
Success Redefined. It’s the big picture I have been working on, the business that is being created. It’s the concept that the book centers around, which is how I’ve redefined success to create a more fulfilled life. There is one chapter at the end that briefly explains The Age of Humanity. Which is now a preview of my next book. At this point, all I need is to redesign the cover of Success Redefined. I had to apologize to my designer for he was almost done with the first cover. But, this is the right thing to do.
Almost there! Over the next few weeks, we will be designing the cover and finishing the final edits. There are so many self-publishing tools – these include on-demand printing along with Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and so many online toolkits. Once everything gets posted online, it will be time to promote the book and then the next stage of promotion will begin.
I can’t express enough how excited I am to get this book into people’s hands. This book has been a 4-year project or more! Now it’s time to share my journey with the world and help others redefine success for themselves. I’m looking forward to your feedback about Success Redefined and bringing us all together into a community of purpose and fulfillment.
